Ambassador Kim Won-soo Officially Appointed as Honorary President of WOAC
The World Olymp’Arts Council (WOAC) officially announces that Ambassador Kim Won-soo, a distinguished senior diplomatic leader and former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, has been formally appointed as Honorary President of WOAC.


To further promote global artistic and cultural exchanges, and strengthen global brand credibility as well as international industry influence, the World Olymp’Arts Council (WOAC) officially announces that Ambassador Kim Won-soo, a distinguished senior diplomatic leader and former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, has been formally appointed as Honorary President of WOAC.


Ambassador Kim Won-soo is a leading senior expert in global multilateral diplomacy, international governance, international security and public affairs. He boasts nearly 40 years of dual professional experience as a career diplomat of the Republic of Korea and a senior executive of the United Nations. He has in-depth practical expertise and extensive global influence in coordinating multilateral affairs, making international strategic decisions and advancing cross-border cooperation. His affiliation with WOAC fully recognizes the Council’s development philosophy and international value, and provides solid authoritative endorsement and professional support for WOAC’s global strategic layout, connection of high-end international resources, and development of global multilateral artistic and cultural exchanges.


Currently, Ambassador Kim Won-soo serves as Dean of the Global Academy for Future Civilization at Kyung Hee University, Republic of Korea, and Member of the Board of Directors of the Ban Ki-moon Foundation based in New York and Vienna. He continues to play a pivotal role in international academic research, global public welfare undertakings and international sports ethical governance.


From 1978 to 2006, Ambassador Kim worked as a career diplomat of the Republic of Korea on the front line of international diplomacy, accumulating rich practical experience in national diplomacy and cross-border cooperation. Between 2000 and 2003, he served in the Blue House (Presidential Office of the Republic of Korea) as Presidential Secretary for International Security Affairs and Presidential Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Trade. He also held key positions including Director-General of the Policy Planning Bureau and Ambassador for Regional Cooperation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, deeply participating in the formulation of national foreign policies, coordination of international security affairs and promotion of regional multilateral cooperation.


In 2006, Ambassador Kim led the campaign preparation and transition work for Ban Ki-moon, the 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations, and accomplished all core tasks with outstanding professionalism. He officially joined the United Nations system in 2007 and embarked on a more than decade-long senior career within the organization. During his tenure, he held multiple senior posts including Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, coordinating the UN’s responses to various global issues and challenges. From 2015 to 2017, he served as Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs, steering global multilateral security and disarmament affairs, and making significant contributions to global peaceful development and the improvement of international governance systems.


In the future, leveraging Ambassador Kim Won-soo’s international prestige, profound experience in multilateral diplomacy and global high-end resource network, the World Olymp’Arts Council (WOAC) will adhere to its core mission of artistic exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations. “Pursuing Da Vinci”-Opening of the 3rd Italian High School Art Biennale

“Pursuing Da Vinci” was the exhibition theme. Works included paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics and other art forms, aiming to express how we could pursue Leonardo’s footprint in creativity, art and science. Participating authors were required to take inspiration from Da Vinci’s genius methods of observing natural environment, analyzing the shapes of animals, plants, characters, and considering scientific common sense and operating mechanisms related to proportions in human space as well as ergonomics.
