OLYMP'ARTS 2023 Live First Release OLYMP'ARTS Anthem

Paying Tribute to Art with Art, OLYMP'ARTS Anthem Debuts at OLYMP'ARTS 2023 on October 5, 2023. The OLYMP'ARTS flag was raised to the accompaniment of the anthem, and the six stars of the OLYMP'ARTS logo on the flag were blended with the OLYMP'ARTS anthem like a comprehensive work of art. Looking back at ancient Greek art through the Zappeion in Athens, the flow of notes and the composition of color blocks at the same time sends a beautiful hope for the development of today's contemporary art.

OLYMP'ARTS was born as a continuation of the art tournament created in Ancient Greece in 566 BC. As the debut of OLYMP'ARTS, OLYMP'ARTS 2023 focuses on the theme of “Environment, Climate and Energy” and includes an opening ceremony, art exhibition, art forum, charity dinner, award ceremony and many other sessions. Guests invited to attend this year's OLYMP'ARTS 2023 include artists, representatives of arts organizations, government dignitaries, entrepreneurs, and representatives of the World Olymp'Arts Council（WOAC）, etc. The founding president of WOAC, Mr. Marc Verriere, the Vice Chancellor of the Royal College of Art, Dr. Paul Thompson and executive president of WOAC, Mrs. Rachel Qin delivered speeches and shared their messages for OLYMP'ARTS 2023. The event was hosted by WOAC, organized by OLYMP'ARTS 2023 organizing committee, coordinated by the World Philharmonic Orchestra (France), the International Joint Initiatives ASBL (Belgium), and ARTLAB International Art Laboratory (Italy), and specially supported by Athens Conservatoire.

Principal of Athens Conservatoire and Academician of Athens Conservatoire Philippos Tsalahouris was invited to compose the lyrics of the OLYMP'ARTS anthem, and Zhao Daxin, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Record Corporation and Vice President of the Second Council of the China Audiovisual Association, and Rachel Qin, executive president of WOAC, jointly composed the lyrics of the anthem in Chinese. The English version of the lyrics was edited by Philippos Charlahoris and performed live by his specially directed Greek women's choir Chórεs, a choir of more than 150 female singers initiated and operated by the non-profit company WOMO.

Meanwhile, Mr. Philippos Tsalahouris Won the Hexastar Brilliance Hono from the WOAC at the charity dinner, recognizing Philippos' artistic creativity and achievements. Long dedicated to music composition and education, Philippos has been a member of the Union of Greek Composers since 1997 and a member of the artistic committees of the Benaki Museum and the Greek National Opera since 2015. His musical compositions have been performed by all major Greek symphonic and choral groups, as well as by major Greek and international festivals. He has also given concerts in Germany, France, Italy, Russia, England, Spain, Bulgaria and many other countries. With more than a hundred compositions to his credit, he is also one of the most prolific Greek composers of his generation, and in 2008 Philippos composed the soundtrack for the Olympic Flame Collection Ceremony in Beijing.
